I know its been a while but we have been busy. Daryl especially has been busy working on the back yard. I wanted to post some before and after pictures to show what he got accomplish this year. Its so exciting to see thing coming together that we have wanted to do for a long time. I am so proud of Daryl and all the hard work he has put in. Remember he has done this all by hand, one bucket full at a time. What an amazing man!!!!!
This final picture I posted to show how much fill Daryl has done in the back yard. If you notice the window well in the first picture it is showing a lot. Then in the second picture the window well is just about buried. He did all this fill by hand with a shovel. He is amazing. I am so happy the way the back yard is turning out. There is still a lot to be done. But the progress he is making is super fantastic
I can't seem to get all the pictures I wanted to post. So I guess this will have to do. You can see just how much work has been done. On top of this we also put in a basement door, so we can walk out of the basement into the pool area. Also Daryl put in another garden garden along the fence, and planted all the grass here and around the pine tress in the back yard. It sure is looking good. Thanks Daryl for all the hard work you are doing.Daryl & Gayelenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15832116717867918115noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514100330425286732.post-40262606026665165042014-07-29T10:05:00.002-07:002014-07-29T10:05:57.881-07:00

I know it has been a while since the last time I posted on my blog. I just don't have any excuse. But last night Daryl finished a project that he has been working on and I am so excited about it and wanted to share it. This is located in our pool area and I think it looks super. I sure appreciate all the hard work that Daryl is doing in our back yard to make it look like our Garden of Eden
For Christmas this year, some of our girls bought a overnight stay at a Bed and Breakfast in Logan for Daryl and I. We had never stayed at one and it was fun. We stayed in a room that was called the Library Room. I know the picture is really bad - we left the camera in the car and the lense fogged over so this is the best picture we could get. there were all kinds of books on the shelves and it was fun to browse through them.

You might be surprised to hear, but I just celebrated my 55 year birthday this past April. That is right I am now officially a senior. We had the family over for cake and ice cream. I thought this picture was so cute. The grandchildren sitting on the front porch eating ice cream. I sure do love my family and appreciate what wonderful people they have become. I had a super fun day - Becky invited us up to her house for lunch with her friends and there parent from Armenia and India. We had a great lunch and then we sat around and sang Country Music Songs while one of Becky's friend played the guitar. Who would have thought -

The absolute best thing that happened so far this year is that Becky graduated from the University of Utah with a Master Degree in Health Education and Promotion with an emphasis on International Care. I know the picture is hard to see, but if you look close you can see Becky receiving her diplomat. We are so proud of her and the effort she put into furthering her education. Way to go !!!

After the graduation ceremony and pictures, we all went to the park and had a picnic. There was a great playground that the grandchildren played on. It had a merry-go-round - when was the last time you saw one of these at a park? All the grandchildren loved it, especially Audrey who just stood there holding on tight and wanting to go faster and faster. She is amazing.

I thought I would combine all the holidays together and just do one blog since I am so far behind in blogging. We had a great Christmas season and did a lot with our family.
Every year the County Government Center allows trick or treaters to come. So Candis was able to bring Alexis and Drake. It was so much fun to walk them around and show them off to all my friends here at work. Mary Elizabeth and Monica were not able to bring their families this year, I really missed showing them off as well.

I know this next picture is a little out of order,(it should be after the Thanksgiving pictures, since Daryl's birthday is in December) but I didn't want to redo the blog. This is a picture of Becky and her friends who all got together and came over to help Daryl celebrate his birthday. I had to work that night, so I really appreciate this group for doing this. It was a great day for Daryl as well.

It was our turn to have Thanksgiving dinner this year. All the family was able to attend, including my parents. We had a delicious dinner, and yes the turkey did turn out this year. After the dinner we all set around and visited and planned out the adventure of shopping on Black Friday.

Again this year, Daryl and I continued the tradition of having our grandchildren, the ones that are potty trained, spend Christmas night with us. The family all gathers for Christmas dinner, and opening of presents. Once the clean up is done the parents are sent away and Grandma and Grandpa's fun begin. It is a tradition that each grandchild gets a flashlight were we briefly talk about being the light of the world and let your light so shine. Then all the lights in the house are turned off and we play with the flashlight, chasing a red laser beam around with the light from the flashlights. The grandchildren love this and we play it for a long time.
After playing with flashlights I was able to read the grandchildren a story by Bill Peet. He is Daryl's favorite children's author, the pictures in his books are great. The grandchildren all listened to the entire story and really enjoyed looking at the pictures.

It was a blast to have the grandchildren for a sleepover. Looking forward to it again next year, where hopefully they will all be able to spend the night. It was a great Chrismas season. After all what is not great about being with FAMILY!!!! Daryl & Gayelenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15832116717867918115noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514100330425286732.post-64235301364052320282012-10-09T09:12:00.000-07:002012-10-09T09:12:58.848-07:00This year for our vacation we decided to spend it in the area and see some of the sites that we have not got to see before. The first thing we did was visit with Monica and her family. We went up on Ayden's birthday. For his present we gave him battle stuff like helmet, shield, arm shields, sword, and axe. But we figured it would not be too fun to play by himself without someone else having the complete gear as well. So we brought two sets, Gavin and Ayden had fun playing together with it. The next day we went to the Primary Sacrament meeting program. Ayden had a speaking part and he did such a great job at it.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole vacation. Gavin just took a bath and wanted to cuddle with his Grandma under the blanket that I made. It was fun and a very special moment for me.

Everytime we go up to Idaho Falls to visit with Monica and her family we always say that we should go to the Craters of the Moon and see what is there. So after the visit we went by Craters of the Moon. It was amazing. The whole landscape as far as you can see is lava rock. You can walk down into the crevices of the lava flow into big tunnels and caves. It was fun to explore this area. Here is Daryl on one of the paths going out in the lava flow.

After the Craters of the Moon, we drove up to Sun Valley to see what was there. What a disappointment. All we saw was a couple of hotels and biking paths. I did not even think the area was that pretty. It was not like I imaged at all. So after a quick drive through of that area, we went down to Twin Falls. The entrance into the city is awesome. You go over a big canyon with water falls. It is really beautiful. We spend the night there and then explored the area some more before driving home.
Once we got home we went to the movie "Avengers" it has been out for some time, but we haven't had a chance to see it. It was great, we both enjoyed it. Then we went to the Quirrh Mountain temple - what a beautiful place (aren't they all). Then Daryl wanted to walk through some camping trailers to see what is new. Did you know they are making trailers with fireplaces in them now. We saw some amazing ones and very expensive.
Daryl and I have always wanted to tour the gardens at Thanksgiving Point, so we decided to make it one of our stopping points on this vacation. It was so worth it. Here are some flowers that I thought was so unique and fun to look at. Who knows maybe I will plant some in my garden next year. There were a lot of different gardens with themes and a ton of pictures we took, but these are just two that I liked.

The gardens at Thanksgiving Point were beautiful and a fun place to walk around and see all the different,interesting plants and landscapes. We sure enjoyed ourselves. He was born on February 19, 2012 weighing in at 10 lbs (can't remember how many ounces). The middle name Marec is taken from the first initial of his aunts - M is from Mary, A is Amber, R is Rebecca, E is Elizabeth and C is Candis - so he is named after all his aunts. On Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 Emmett was blessed. He received a great blessing and all the family was able to make it. On Christmas Eve Candis and Joe invited us to their house for a great Christmas dinner and then we played Flinch - I won!. Thanks Candis and Joe for a great evening. Then on Christmas morning we got up and went to church and finished getting ready for the celebration that would happen later on in the day. We finally got around to opening our presents around 3:00 p.m. and of course Daryl spoiled me again. He does every year and I just love it. I sure appreciate him and all he does for me. The family came over at 6:00 including Chris, our foster son, and my parents with all the children and grandchildren. we had a nice turkey dinner and then opened presents. Thank you children for the wonderful gifts that you gave us, we will use them often over the coming years.

This year we started a new tradition - or continued a tradition that was handed down from the previous generation. When our children were young every year on Christmas their Grandparents Gudmundson would have a Christmas dinner then all the parents had to leave as well as any children that were not potty trained. Then they would have a sleepover with their grandchildren. This meant so much to my children that they encouraged us to do it as well. So this year we gave it a try - and it turned out to be a lot of fun. We bought flashlights for them and talked about being a light unto the world and a good example to their friends and family. We have five grandchildren all under the age of five and they were so excited literally running circles around each other. But the funnest part of the night was turning off all the lights and laying on the floor with new flashlights and chasing a red dot that Grandpa pointed at the ceiling with his laser beam. We tried to get Penn to face the camera but I guess he was just too busy eating. The parents came to pick up their children at 10:00 a.m. and Alexis did not want to go home, she ran into the bedroom and shut the door and yelled "no mommy I don't want to go." but once all the parents got their she was okay going, she just didn't want to miss out on any of the fun. We had a great time and we think the grandchildren did as well. This will definiately be a tradition that we will continue for years to come.Daryl & Gayelenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15832116717867918115noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514100330425286732.post-12916379452584300562011-11-02T14:13:00.000-07:002011-11-02T14:17:53.814-07:00railingAs a follow up to the previous post. Here is a picture of the unfinished railing that separates our back yard from the pool area. I think it is turning out really nice. (As part of Joe's birthday present to Daryl, he gave him a coupon for working in the backyard. Daryl collected on the coupon by having Joe help with this project and it turned out great - thanks Joe.) We plan on putting in archways at the top and hang baskets of flowers and little lanterns. I am so excited about all the hard work that Daryl has put into this. It is turning out beautiful.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv6TymihLFD3ew1DJbTrgZEQA0N8KoldHXn0v5DqUaOEQ8qa7azBavwwAuCHyQzF_AUHfRX8JW7vxUWcuABB0zlzTnu1MW8gk3wNk5EoFy9wynHlYgI6Vlz_fI7eqfIh8SJ5tWja5zg7v-/s400/unfinished+railing.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670509690329751714" />Daryl & Gayelenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15832116717867918115noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514100330425286732.post-18870878896364478162011-11-01T09:51:00.000-07:002011-11-01T10:14:01.716-07:00Pool area and HalloweenThis summer Daryl was very busy once again working on our back yard. He finished digging around the pool and putting in the wall. It is now ready for the deck. The railing separating the pool area from the back yard was also put in, but it is not quite finished yet. We are making a lot of progress and getting real excited about getting it done. It will probably take another 2 summers of hard work before it is done.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiucla6e3K0bo_DTkF_VWYa2G12dp3cZUXRkbVWXp4RnWYsmg7rzz7rz6EXsP-3HOihdmLbgjmFcEqIM8qQv3_V4IrviffIxzmts23pb0xBvlnh8UvS3LiYQ9rphlmoMDFYwXWjv6IkiNH/s400/IMG_0010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670075465710806754" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtOceF31sUqWPGiKnIdx5zEkKkFhP2dpCbUs7gDuNhS5Bob-NZQGiv-cCqu_-PExw1jtZnfCZfoR4krwMvTIGkV9K4imer-0VSppeP__2C0BdhIv9eXvb4RlKwQyU2LSjsgZJ4jJV9S1o0/s400/halloween+-+2011.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670072192946576962" />
It was Halloween yesterday and the grandchildren that live close enough were able to come down to the Government Center and trick or treat. Here is a picture of them. Penn and Logan were dressed up like Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the story "The Cat in the Hat." Audrey was a cat. Alexis was a fairy princess. Not pictured is Drake who was a monkey. Drake wasn't too happy about wearing his custome. I had a blast showing off my grandchildren and I am pretty sure they had a blast going around to the different offices and getting candy.Daryl & Gayelenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15832116717867918115noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514100330425286732.post-78510506302381608512011-08-17T12:34:00.000-07:002011-08-17T12:52:18.922-07:00Summer Vacation 2011 (trip home)Before we left the Palmyra area, we made a stop at Peter Witmer's farm. This is the place that the church was organized on April 6, 1830. It was so neat to visit the sites on church history that we have heard about for so long.

Coming home along I90 we stopped by Mt. Rushmore for another look at this monument to some famous US Presidents. What an awesome sight. But I still maintain they should clean up the rock piles in front of the mountain and let the natural landscape grow back in. I think it would look a lot better.
In Mitchell South Dakato they have a corn palace. If you look closely at the following picture you will be able to tell that the outside maurel of this building is done by using different color corn still on husk. the corn husk is cut lengthwise and by using the different kinds of corn they decorate the outside of the building. The maurel changes every year. It was fun to walk around on the inside of the building and look at all the decorations they have done over the years. Its amazing what you can do with corn.

On the way home, we had to of course stop and visit the Jolly Green Giant. I don't remember how we discovered this statute but we did on the trip we took a while ago to Milwaukee. So we decided to stop and visit him again. It was good to get out and walk around.
Our next to last stop on the way home was a visit to Devil's Tower. This is the mountain that was featured on the movie Close Encounters. It was pretty cool to see it. After a delicious breakfast in Jackson Hole we visited with Monica, Sean, Ayden and Gavin for an overnight visit. Daryl got to ride bikes with Ayden, and we got to watch Ayden at his swimming lessons - were he did awesome. Then the next day we headed home. We were gone for 2.5 weeks and as you can tell from the blogs we did a lot and had a ton of fun. Now we just need a vacation from our vacation.Daryl & Gayelenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15832116717867918115noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514100330425286732.post-5853309325864478812011-08-12T06:51:00.000-07:002011-08-12T07:11:23.402-07:00Summer Vacation 2011 (Palmyra)We finally made it to Palymra, after being on the road for over one week. We meet up with Daryl's dad and his wife Judy and was able to visit with them for a while. We saw the sites like the following picture of Joseph Smith's home where the Angel Moroni appeared to him. We also made it to the Hill Cumorah pageant that I have wanted to see forever. It was wonderful.
The next stop after leaving Chris and Cathy's was to Kirtland Ohio. I didn't realize how many of the revelations found in the Doctrine and Coveants were given to Joseph Smith while he lived in Kirtland. While there we saw the John Johnson farm were D & C 76 was given on eternal marriage. This was a great stop. We also saw and was able to tour the Kirtland Temple.

This is the room where the School of the Prophets was held. This is also the room where the Word of Wisdom was given. There was just a small group touring this building when we were there, so the Missionary let Daryl teach about the word of wisdom. It was really cute to do that in the very rooom where it was given.

On the way to Palmyra we stopped off at Niagara Falls. They sure are beautiful falls. We heard the Canadian side is even better, but we didn't want to take the time to cross the border. We were anxious to get to Palmyra.

It has been a while since we have had a good visit with them and we really enjoyed it. they were able to take a day off work and took us to visit the Abraham Lincoln sites in Springfield Il. WE first visited the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. It is the first Presidential Library we have been in and it had some really cool exhibits. Abraham Lincoln was a great president, one of our heros.
We got the opportunity to visit the resting place of Abraham Lincoln. Out side the tomb is a statue of him, the tradition is that you rub his nose - so we did. the nose is really shiny from everyone that has rubbed it. this is a picture of Daryl, Chris and Cathy. I had a hard time reaching the nose, I had to stand on my toes to do so.
While visiting Chris he took us to St. Louis to see the arch. It is called the Gateway to the West. Can you believe that people actually ride up to the top of the arch. Needless to say we didn't, the cars that you ride up in are very small. Chris told us that when you are at the top of the arch that it does sway sometimes. That did not sound fun to me. But there is a pretty neat museum in the bottom on the arch that we enjoyed looking at the exhibits.

The next several post will be about our vacation and the sites that we were able to see

We were able to do the tourist things in Nauvoo. This is a picture of us at the drainage canal that the pioneers built. It was pretty special to stand there and image that your ancestors might have been there helping with the laying of these very stones.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXvDAsSoJEsivMYjbo-LLH4AwVwtFkIqW95qA4Su-bGF6UY4G4md8Vlf26KYm1UmyLmKJ6064sBv6_kmCUO-7OTWV6N3oraAMx2_Hr65Ilo8LYUE1xWJFSENLFxg6PP5wweUALoETyBcqI/s400/IMG_9837.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638591831395616770" />

Nauvoo has a great family living center for visitors to watch and participate in pioneers skills. We learn how weaving was done, how the pioneer women made bread, had thread was made from weeds, how to make buckets and as you can see from the picture we participated in making rope. It was a great place to learn and get some hands on experience as well.

One of Daryl's highlight of our vacation this summer was the gardens at the Visitor Center in Nauvoo, there are some wonderful statues in the garden with all the beautiful flowers around. This statue is located at the doors just before you go outside. I thought it was great!

We did not make an appointment to go to the temple before we left home.We didn't know for sure when we were get to Nauvoo, so we were surprised when we went to the temple that they actually had an opening and we were able to do some initatory work. It is a beautiful temple and has such a strong feeling.

Daryl's brother Alan and his wife Liz, have been called to be in charged of the bagpipe band that performs in Nauvoo during the month of July during the pageant. We were able to spend a little bit of time with then when we were in Nauvoo. The band really adds a lot to the pageant and it was fun to watch and hear them.

The children in the neighborhood as well as grandchildren decorate up bikes, wagons, or scooters to ride in the short neighborhood parade. Parents line the parade route to watch the children go by. The parade ends on a cul de sac where a short patrotic program is held and then a breakfast. It is fun to get to know all your nieghbors and to get reacquainted with ones that you hardly get to see. Above is a picture of Daryl, and Mary Elizabeth's family just before the parade. Spencer and Daryl drove our four wheelers and Penn and Logan rode with them waving the American Flag. It was fun to watch them go by. They seem to really enjoy it.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo05BlaSixve70TCF6BSBB-Zra19DkA3Yn1b70VhGYqNDVQNOzdvOQSS84w8_YLWkKgxeo9UpW0NKZzOvl8kvVkBhtylRYGf0HgpzmPEYMYzPRNWioEZ0rC20ydoTst73rH1_qGK4ey4Ad/s400/IMG_9833.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634897540776612370" />
Here is a picture of Mary Elizabeth and Audrey waiting for the neighborhood parade to start.
During the April Conference weekend, Daryl's mission Quito Ecuador held a reunion. We were able to attend and I finally met his Mission President. This is a picture of Daryl with his mission president. It was so much fun to listen to the stories and the experiences through other eyes and realize how much a mission affected everyone's lifes. To hear the stories that Daryl has told me throughout our marriage from a different view was great. It just refirmed what a great, inspired man his mission president was.
I am the assistant camp director for the young women in our ward, which I absolutely love. It is a lot of work and worry but so much fun once you get to camp and see how much the girls are enjoying it. This year our theme was a Scout camp, we learn knots and had contests with that. We shot bows & arrows as well as BB guns. We went canoeing, make slides for our neckerchiefs and make a camp stove out of pop cans. the girls got a pocketknife and whistle and did leather work as well. We were only gone for 2 and one half days, so it was really busy but love. Luckily we got to sleep in a clubhouse at a park with grass so the rain wasn't that big of a deal. This picture is all of us at camp. Daryl, who has been involved in scouts for the past 30 years was able to go as well.
Here is a picture of some of our family sitting around the table visiting while waiting for the program to start. We had au gratin potatoes, ham, lettuce salad with a roll for lunch. Then of course we had to have cake and ice cream. the program consisted of memories by dad's older brother, Gerald, thoughts from Judy and a slide presentation - pictures of his life and his children. Each family member made a scrapbook page to go into a book for him to cherish and look through. All in all I think it was a great time and Dad really appreciated it.Daryl & Gayelenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15832116717867918115noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514100330425286732.post-61097148433374893962011-03-08T12:48:00.001-08:002011-03-08T13:00:00.067-08:00Our new bathroom tile<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKSfpFh3ZM7DAqQxdmKOLmLFfylYoAsn6JWo26yBXHYPCr1-NSlGwjp-UVdDxM-cravjxDv1gTe-r1Ar8E3n8VaG7BKWhk0PYYQieh26zITHaJ-J85xa3LEsCO-0G7Ac-3ZDsNyVa6E1wg/s400/DSCF0127.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5581816509620502946" />

We got new tile for our master bathroom. Joe did an excellent job, and Drake did his part looking so cute in his blessing outfit. His name is Drake Joseph Bailey. Drake is named after his Grandpa Drake who only had daughters, so the last name was ending. Candis and Joe thought to continue it at least one more generation. What a great idea.

The following are pictures of the rest of our grandchildren on Sunday, they had a lot of fun playing together. We had a lot of fun watching them. Grandchildren are the best!!!!! (The caption for each picture, appears before the picture not after, my mistake)

I love this pictures. Most of the grandchildren were waiting at the front door for Aunt Candis and Uncle Joe to open the door, but before we could get a picture the rest of them ran away. Our home computer is not working, so I can't access any pictures. We had a great Christmas, with all the family together. It amazing how much the family grows with marriages and grandchildren.
Well anyway I had a thought that I would like to refer to as a deep thought. Daryl was saying how he had to go shovel more snow, and without thinking about it, I stated you can put that off, it will always be there tomorrow. Then I got thinking, sometimes after a snow storm, the snow will melt by the next day, its not like dishes that will always be there until you do them. What a thought.Daryl & Gayelenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15832116717867918115noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514100330425286732.post-85605745759714847862010-10-25T10:30:00.000-07:002010-10-25T14:24:13.985-07:00Back Yard Pool AreaBAck in May I blogged about a backyard project that we were working on. I never had a clue about the scope of the project and how it would turn out. I am sooooooo pleased with it - it is not done yet, but that isn't due to the lack of hard work, there is just so much that we want to do. I thought I would post some pictures since we are done working on it for the year. I look at the pictures and I am amazed about how much work Daryl was able to do this summer. It was all done by hand and the sweat of his brow but it is amazing. I sure do love that man.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZEbhXGTj0-RRVqvqkXpvtvZq2THY5rxqArFH575FfONIaDdVB_yJbLCfQA70YuDzuTVXFX6ZqSeRTi2NfTm4gye2xR9foWX7Vjf113qUh99cf0hma4Jr9UABGOKVW1rTiYjEcRcgKd-rY/s400/wall+2010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532043457715349010" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpEvlpcpXEz7XEDT55tbXhFarh1iyDzLF2FQwlJwMPFj7lf0-rO3l35Zmu2F51FFg42QZTNI1uoxgvFsSeIH_sfYyExc0PtvI1Ypf_GaTysqxJ6oDQNoY_4BsV4imIkWcsVrqV3laxHFUA/s400/Wall+Oct+2010+003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532043249827873938" />

Before and after pictures from the back of the yard towards the house. It starts off with three birthdays in September, Joe, Ayden and Becky, then in October we have two birthdays with Alexis and Monica, one birthday in November with Sean, and then three birthdays in December, Dad, Candis and baby Drake's (which we can hardly wait to get here). Anyway we have been attending a lot of parties lately and I thought I would share some pictures of some of them. The first one is of Ayden on his birthday. He had a Super Hero party with friends. That was a first for him and he was so excited. It was great to be there and enjoy the fun. This picture is of him in his Captain America costume that he got for his birthday. WE sure love this little man.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgb19jMV5FoUF7JZyooB16ZXG9GzpJaAh7CNHARtstityNcpPvSkQRdIJnlq5WfQpowIgF03xqvQCJQ6GC6VlMY0fXJcZT82lvV5HgGc1nSNSwg6LjpI8ZpAq28khcLIjldSBe6PHD4WfNy/s400/Ayden+4+year+007.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5530546341614840946" />

Not only were we able to go to Idaho Falls for Ayden's birthday party, but we were able to be there the next day, Sunday, to hear and watch him participate in the Primary Program. His part in the program was the First Article of Faith, which he had memorized completely and could say without any help. That was impressive and he did a great job. Here is a picture of him and his little brother, Gavin, getting ready to go to church.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxlrtyand6-l0D-bl98LPY-ZLzB9yyimfbuquxBtd5fYeNc48aI3ntSHyXlAHdC2zl5z-PKazprar5L9pP38irKDnCLQyW0qu-SA5WlEm51KefKl1L0Su15UExlBtS4RWoibWjq11pEBcB/s400/Ayden+4+year+010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5530545815575149410" />

The entire family was able to get together to celebrate Becky's birthday. We had dinner, opened presents and just enjoyed being together. Mary Elizabeth had bought a pinata to hit around. I think everyone enjoyed watching that and I know the grandchildren loved the candy. We all love Becky and hoped she had a great time as well. All the nieces and nephews think Becky is the best, and the the adults agree as well.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-olgMNfpxyaz6XzuRwQm0vQZ104pBZKihYfBT3fBCP8DL3gQC1UcKZmlydm9kPO9ISRJrV23-i7RIV_VNzPKJEcHhBijMoreauWjbbsWe4rmS_m47QdYTKB4xdvSR0YO3xc04VjNRO7rR/s400/Ayden+4+year+022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5530544797364580930" />

The last birthday party we were able to attend was for Alexis. She turned two years old and her mom threw her a Little Mermaid party. This is a picture of Alexis during her party in front on the Little Mermaid decoration. She was so exicted to have a birthday, running from one thing to the next. It was a blast to watch her. Her mom cooked really delicious chicken tacos for lunch. It was a fun party. We are not used to just sitting around the house when we have time off, so we decided to hike up to Cecret Lake. The hike is only one mile each way and we figured it would be nice to get away to the mountains before the snow hit and it was just to cold to hike. I guess we were not the only ones with that idea. I have never seen the mountains so crowded. There was never a time on the trail or at the lake that we were alone in the wilderness. There was always a bunch of people around, as you can see in the backgroud of the following picture.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfb-tVk0UX4qzt-4sNiJdrpAEISm6LQDy0Ee5eDkr076V7Wr3WSya2t_8Fx7hHOy6Jw8U14lkrLaI0aM6h66yQ-mvqs6h8MYNfsccEJenuKRocqxYoJQRwOaFJQ6VG04WrqBwakiNYkL77/s400/Cecret+Lake+Hike+010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514652556613632466" />

Daryl said I never put a picture of me on the blog.
